Vineyard Vines

I have a serious obsession with vineyard vines. I absolutely love it. It's perfect southern prep. However it is very pricey and my favorite stuff is the casual stuff p. a classic touch of prep that is well known is the vineyard vines hat. It has the whale logo and can be purchased in any pastel color and looks perfect for a causal warm preppy style. The hat is 25 dollars online and has free shipping (cheap trick: if you sign up for free account online you receive and thank you email from them for 10% off if you really interested). Another style would be their sweatshirts with their classic logo and comfy style. Also if you want to up your school preppy style and don't want to pay for their school supplies find there prints online and print them off and use them as binder covers

STRIPES STRIPES STRIPES

So for a preppy type style stripes can be a nice touch. Not an overload of stripes but lately a major fashion trend is adding a striped shirt with some dark jeans and depending on your own style adding oxfords or dock shoes. During winter time a nice touch would be throwing a colored vest over it and boots. This style is able to be worn throughout the seasons and so a stripe shirt would be a nice investment. Another striped style would be a preppy stripe button down this style must be made complete with a string of pearls. Popular colors for girls are the blue stripe and pink. Personally I love the pink because it is very girly, but I also love the blue you can't go wrong.

et try a minty green or light soft yellow stripe I am a big thrifter and cute stripe button downs can be found there pretty cheap.
THRIFTING DISCLAIMER:
If you have never thrifted don't expect to go in and find just what you are looking for.  That rarely happens. However if you are going and are new to this, be prepared to go a few times and really search and sort through stuff. Thrifting can give a bit of a vintage touch depending on how good you are at finding things of value. For those of you just searching for the perfect touch go in looking for any rips, sweat stains, over all scent of the item, and any stains. These things will make the piece of clothing not really worth it and shouldn't go home with you. There are things in thrift stores that look like they have never been worn you just gotta look;) if thrifting just isn't your thing check out department stores or for cheaper prices search resale stores in your area.
